Krisjanis and Gertrude

This small Riga hotel is situated on the top floor of a wooden house on Krisjana Barona Street at its junction with Gertrude Street in central Riga. The six rooms are individually decorated, and each has an en-suite bathroom. Each room has TV and tea and coffee making facilities.  A common room has PC and internet at no extra charge.

The name of this small Riga hotel was given because of its location on the crossing of Krisjana Barona and Gertrudes street. Krisjanis Barons is a well known historical figure of Latvia who collected and categorized Latvian folk songs. In its turn Gertrudes street is named after the church that stands at the end of the street, and is dedicated to Saint Gertrude of Nivelles - a patron Saint of travelers.
