This Riga Stroll Tour is planned to comprise all of Riga's known history. It will let you experience the wonderful architecture and great heritage of Riga's 800-year history.
The tour starts with a visit to St. Peter's Church and its tower where you can gaze down on the city. Here you will be introduced with the main facts about Riga. The city overview and interesting narration will let you know about other places in Riga not included in this tour - Pardaugava, Riga Port and Mezaparks.
Afterwards you will have a nice stroll around all major historical and culture sites in Riga Old Town. Besides that the host will show some genuine Latvian souvenir shops that enchant their visitors with pleasant atmosphere, chummy staff and various local gifts. With this afternoon stroll we want to acquaint you with Riga city, its rich history and culture heritage. Additional to all major travel sights we will introduce you to more local places and stories of Riga. The main target of this tour is to introduce our city’s guests with Real Riga!
During this tour you will see: St. Peter’s church, Town Hall Square, Blackhead’s house, Skarnu street, Convent’s and Jana yard, The Monument of Freedom, Latvia National Opera, Livu square, Cats’ house, The Dome Square and its surroundings, Latvia National Theatre, Art Nouveau district. To get off the beaten path you will also visit Riga Central Market area and creative art area called Spikeri. And sure, genuine Latvian souvenir stocks are included in the route.
