X Latvian Student and Youth Festival of Song and Dance

Different concerts are the mainstay of the festival - from indoor event for religious or classical music to the large open-air event. Parallel events are folk craft displays along with photographic and art exhibits.
The Latvian Festival of Song and Dance is held every five years usually for a week. The festival closes with something similar to the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
