Riga offers some great shopping experiences, especially around the Old Town of Riga where you are sure to find some little treasure to take home! Riga Shopping Guide
The best place to start any shopping spree in Riga is in and around the Old Town, which offers a variety of different and unique shops and interesting items. There are also a number of larger shopping malls offering standard stores - these are mostly located in the suburbs. However the shopping mall “Gallery Centrs” is located in the very centre of the city, at the entrance of Old Town. It’s the city's oldest shopping mall, which offers various designer shops, standard stores and small restaurants or cafes. Souvenirs and antiques can also be picked up at many of the markets, however make sure you get a licence from the Inspection Board for History and Culture and the Protection of Monuments, as this is required in order to export any valuables.

Tirgus Galerija (Market Gallery)
This rather small but cosy shop is set to offer domestic production to Rigans and city guests. Tirgus Galerija contains several stands with a production offered by local farmers. Here you can find fresh dairy products, meat and vegetables or enjoy some tasty pastry work.
The most exciting thing about Tirgus Galerija is its friendly atmosphere. For example, you can chat with the butcher about good recipes for your dinner while having a cup of mild tea!

Bergs Bazaar
The BERGS BAZAAR is a historical pedestrian village-like enclave built between the years 1887-1900 by Kristaps Bergs, which was one of Latvia's first modern real estate developers.
Here you can find small shops, good restaurants, modern offices and a boutique BERGS Hotel. If you are looking for interior and design features, this is the right place to come.
On the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the antique and Slow Food market is held here.

Tejas Roze - Souvenir shop
An interesting souvenir shops offering various kinds of local artist works - such as dolls, bijouterie, clothes, linen and gloves. Here you can even find vintage stuff and old sound boards.

Riga Central Market
The Centraltirgus is a huge marketplace located within five old zeppelin hangars. It is a perfect opportunity for visitors to get off the beaten track and see part of the everyday lives of locals, as well as having the chance to haggle for fruit, vegetables, various trinkets or antiques.
However, make sure to keep a tight grip on your possessions, as pickpockets are relatively common here.

Stenders
You won't miss these little shops scattered all around Riga city, mostly located in all shopping malls, like Galerija Centrs or Spice. The fantastic aroma is what makes them so memorable and special!
